Modifications

Conversion to the UH-1H-II Huey
US Helicopter, in conjunction with Bell Helicopter, has set up a production line process to install the Bell upgrade kit on the existing UH-1 helicopter frame. The main cabin is completely refurbished and modified to accept the tailboom and drivetrain. The existing T53 engine is converted to an 1800 SHP 703 engine. The engine, wider blade chord and a Bell 212 drivetrain provide a significant increase in lifting power.

 

UH-1 N Weather Radar Modification
A customer required weather radar for use in a UH-1N helicopter. The modification and installation were completed at US Helicopter. A new chin-bubble mount was manufactured to accommodate the radar equipment and readout instrumentation was integrated into the cockpit panel.
