US Helicopter's material logistics department supports refurbishment requirements and provides centralized material management including procurement, storage control, transport, and accounting of all property, parts and supplies.

 

 

 

Component RepairComponent Repair


Drivetrain components (transmission, gear boxes, main rotor mast and hub, scissor and sleeve and quill assemblies) can be repaired/ overhauled at the company back shops co-located with the main facilities. Upon completion of repairs and modifications, the components and parts are re-installed on the aircraft or packaged for shipment.

Automatic Circuit Analyzer Automatic Circuit Analyzer


US Helicopter uses a CKT 1000 Automatic Circuit Analyzer (ACA) to perform analysis, testing, and repair of UH-1 electrical and avionics systems. The ACA detects open circuits, shorts, missing wires, mis-routed wires. leakage, high resistance, insulation deterioration, corrosion, loose connections, reverses and incorrect values.

 

 

Mainframe/Tailboom Repair

Mainframe/Tailboom Repair


US Helicopter has both main fuselage and tailboom fixtures approved by the government and periodically certified by laser measurement. The main fuselage fixture is required when removing structural panels to avoid misalignment. US Helicopter also has a tailboom fixture for vertical spar replacement, misalignment correction or tailboom modification.

 

Plastic Media StrippingPlastic Media Stripping


US Helicopter's plastic media stripping facility is approved by the government and certified by the FAA for paint and corrosion removal from aircraft. Unlike chemicial stripping, there is no residual liquid which can cause corrosion in joint and door frames. The clean surface is immediately ready for painting and, as a result of being non-hazardous, costs are less than chemical stripping.
